About

Born and raised in Ethiopia, Tewodros Sisay is an avid adventurer, mountaineer, trail runner and outdoor photography enthusiast. Tewodros summited the highest mountains in Europe (Elbrus) and Africa (Kilimanjaro, Mt. Kenya, Mt. Stanley, etc). As part of his fast ascent challenge, he summited Africa’s second-highest mountain, Mt. Kenya, in eight hours. From humble beginnings to travelling the world, he aims to tell stories that inspire Africans to explore through his photographs. This website showcases a collection of personal stories, adventures from remote places in Russia to Latin America, South East Asia, Europe, and Africa.

“Traveling and adventure have always been my passion, but it has not always been easy. From the struggles to fund my travels when I first started, to being detained in some countries, to facing some of the harshest weather in high altitudes, it all has allowed me to gain amazing life experiences. Some of the people I met along the way became my mentors and lifelong friends. I found meaning in these travels and pushed my body’s limit through my adventures. I hope a collection of my photos and stories will also inspire you to do the same.” Tewodros Sisay
